Ekaa Weaves ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
1. What we collect
- Contact details — name, email, phone number, and shipping address when you place an order or sign up for our newsletter.
- Order information — items purchased, payment method (currently Cash on Delivery only), and delivery preferences.
- Device & usage data — IP address, browser, referrer, and the pages you view on ekaaweaves.in. Used to improve the site and detect fraud.
- Communications — messages you send us on WhatsApp, email, or Instagram about your order.
We do not collect or store payment-card details. Once online payments launch (Phase 2), card / UPI data will be handled directly by our payment processor (Razorpay) and never touch our servers.
2. Why we collect it
- To process and deliver your order.
- To send order confirmations, dispatch updates, and exchange-pickup notifications.
- To respond to customer-service queries.
- To send marketing emails / WhatsApp broadcasts about new drops (only if you opt in).
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive activity.
3. Who we share it with
We share only what's required to fulfil your order:
- Logistics partners (e.g. Shiprocket / Delhivery / India Post) — name, address, phone, and package weight to deliver your saree.
- Communication providers (e.g. SendGrid for transactional email, Meta for WhatsApp Business API) — your email / phone and the message body.
- Payment processors (Phase 2 only — Razorpay) — they collect card / UPI details directly; we receive only success/failure metadata.
We never sell your personal information. We will disclose your data to law-enforcement only on receipt of a valid legal order.
4. How long we keep it
- Order records: 7 years (Indian tax-law requirement).
- Marketing subscribers: until you unsubscribe.
- Browsing/device data: 90 days.
5. Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- Show you the data we hold about you.
- Correct any information that's wrong.
- Delete your account and personal data (except orders we are legally required to retain).
- Unsubscribe from marketing — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.

6. Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies to keep your cart contents, remember your logged-in session, and measure aggregate site usage (Google Analytics). You can clear these any time from your browser.
7. Children
Ekaa Weaves is intended for users 18 years and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date below tells you when. Material changes will be highlighted in a banner at the top of the storefront for at least 14 days.
